Manage the individual parts and materials used in jewelry production.
What Are Components?
Components are products with type Component. They represent ring settings, clasps, chain links, findings, wire, sheet metal, small stones for pave setting, bezels, and prongs.
Component Fields
Same fields as other products: Name, SKU, Article Number, Price (selling), Cost (purchase), Quantity, Category, Brand, Warehouse, Metal details, Stone details, and Media.
Components in Assemblies
Components are linked to assemblies via Recipes. One component can appear in multiple assemblies. Each recipe specifies the quantity needed. Stock is checked against recipe requirements.
Stock Management
Component stock requires special attention:
- Consumption tracking — Stock reduced when assemblies are built
- Reorder points — Stock alerts for frequently used components
- Supplier management — Link to suppliers for easy reordering
